First
children museum in Bangkok, Children's Discovery Museum is an exclusive
museum for children offering them a chance to learn about life. The
three buildings showing more than 100 exhibits in eight different
galleries give the learning experience to the children. The museum
features an array of fun activities to teach children about life,
science, culture and society, nature and the environment.
First Building
Galleries in the first building tell children how they were born, how
their brains work and how their bodies function mechanically. They know
about their own body. The Science Gallery here promotes scientific
knowledge through observation, assumption, experiments and conclusion.
The Culture and Society Gallery informs kids about the Thai and
international cultures. The Technology Gallery tells children how
technology such as electricity, auto engines, and radio and television
production plays a role in the development of the society.
Second Building
Queen Sirikit Park Gallery in the second building is focused on the
environmental preservation measures promoted by the queen. It inculcates
the sense of environment preservation in children.
Third Building
In the third building, children see a nature and environment gallery.
It trains children about plants, animals and the role of biodiversity.
Kid's Town
In Kid's Town, the children learn how to behave in model situations.
They pretend to be doctors, firefighters and other professionals.
Fun Playground
Outside this childrens museum is a fun-filled playground. The kids will
have fun when walking across a toy bridge or swinging down a spiral
ladder. They could take a pen and paper and make some bright painting.
Robot Zoo explains an animal's functions by means of a mechanistic
comparison. Velcro slippers will tell you how it is to have sticky feet
like a bee?
Location
The museum is situated on the northern edge of Chatuchak Weekend
Market, at short distance from the Mo Chit Sky Train station.
